Mayor de Blasio and City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito shook hands and hugged; 30 council members burst into cheers. Yet it was much ado about nothing. The pretext for the drama was “the earliest [budget] agreement since 2001,” as de Blasio gushed — his agreement with the speaker on a $82.1 billion final budget. Please ... After all, it’s their $82.1 billion that will be heading out the door ... Meaning de Blasio & Co ... Big deal ... ... ....

Honolulu is the No. 1 city in the nation for multigenerational households, according to a new study from SmartAsset. A total of 3.82 percent of Honolulu households are multigenerational and, of those, 74.2 percent live at or above poverty level, the study shows.
